This course allows you to develop an in-depth knowledge of German language and culture while also exploring theatre and performance studies. This includes German Studies’ work in the fields of intellectual history, German and European cultural history from the 18th century to the present day, and the School of Theatre Studies’ specialisms in historiography, national theatre cultures, and theatre and performance that intervene in public discourse, city life and technological change. We will track your progress through language assignments, essays, presentations, portfolio submissions and examinations (written and oral).
