专业简介
This course ensures that our postgraduate students extend their knowledge beyond the focus of their thesis, and possess a wide range of skills to aid employability. We warmly welcome enquiries from appropriately qualified applicants who are keen to register for doctoral research in any of the areas covered by our staff expertise in Translation and related areas. PhD students in the Department of Languages and Cultures are supported by two supervisors and are fully integrated into the research culture of the Department. They are expected to attend and present their work at postgraduate research seminars, and have representation on relevant departmental committees.

Students must have studied for at least 4 years duration. For courses that require a 2:1 equivalent, students must have achieved 80- 85% in Bachelor's degree. For courses that require a 2:2 equivalent, they must have achieved 75-80 %. Higher grades may be required depending on the ranking of the institution.

Students need to have an overall score of at least 6.5, with no individual element below 5.5.
