The aerospace engineering course encompasses advanced materials, design, aerodynamics, space systems, thermodynamics and the latest in computational and simulation tools. Using our extensive facilities for aerodynamics and materials testing, our demonstrator jet engine and flight simulator, you will put the theory you learn into practice through challenging project work. As a student on our MEng Aerospace Engineering programmes, you will have access to some of the most advanced flow facilities in Europe and be taught by world-leading experts in the field of aerospace engineering. You will also benefit from our close links with major companies such as Rolls-Royce, Airbus and QinetiQ. Our teaching is strongly informed by our research, and you will be guided by specialists in areas such as computational fluid dynamics, prediction of flows in gas-turbine engines (with links to our Thermo-Fluid Systems University Technology Centre), adhesive bonding, and the development of new materials for airframes and engine components.
