Run in collaboration with the Department of American and Canadian Studies, this course focuses on the study of the USA, with particular focus on political ideas, history, institutions and issues the world over. You will have the opportunity to transfer to the four-year option which includes a year in North America (subject to satisfactory performance in year one). The School of Politics and International Relations offers one of the most dynamic environments for the study of politics and international relations in the UK. It is situated on the beautiful University Park Campus, which is just a 10-minute bus ride away from Nottingham city centre.

Applicants who have taken foundation courses are normally considered on a case by case basis. Students who have completed one or two years of university study may be eligible for bachelors admission, if relevant subjects have been studied and strong grades achieved. Again, applications are considered on a case by case basis.
