专业简介
In this course, You will study modern languages in the context of the history and current theory of translation. You will learn how to use the standard strategies, procedures and techniques of translators, as well as enhancing your interpretative and analytical skills. We will help you develop your ability to translate from at least one language (current translation options are: from English into Arabic, Chinese, Polish and Italian or translation from Czech, Dutch, French, German, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish into English). Teaching and assessment includes: Teaching takes place through lectures, seminars, small-group work and workshops. You’ll be assessed by essays, presentations, practical translation technologies projects, translation assignments, a translation exam and a dissertation.

Students who hold a good bachelor degree from a recognised Chinese university will be considered for direct entry to postgraduate diploma or masters programmes. For entry to MBA students need a good bachelor degree from a recognised Chinese university and at least 3 years´ post-graduation work experience. Students must be at least 25 years old by the time the programme starts.

Students should have overall IELTS grade of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in each component, or equivalent and overall TOEFL score of 88 or above, with at least 17 in Listening, 17 in Writing, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking.
