Are you an experienced industry professional looking for more than a standard cook’s qualification, or perhaps dreaming of managing your own professional kitchen? This course will equip you with the skills for both! You will learn all facets of working in a professional kitchen including selection, preparation and cooking of different foods and techniques. You will cover workplace hygiene procedures, and receiving and storing supplies as well as learning about quality control, stock control, catering revenue and costs, bulk cooking food safety, finance, and human resources. If you are a qualified cook or possess significant experience, you can complete this course in your workplace and refine your skills with additional attendance at specialist Geelong based workshops. As an apprentice working in the industry, we can vary this course to incorporate components of your workplace experience. However you will still need to attend scheduled class time to complete this qualification. Work placement/industry experience As a cookery student you will be taught by some of the best in the business, in our specialist training kitchens with state-of-the-art equipment. As an apprentice you will learn on the job with your employer along with support from our trainers and assessors. How often do I attend? 入学要求

国际学生入学条件 Academic: Applicants must have completed the SIT30813 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. English: IELTS Academic overall score of 5.5 with no band below 5.0 (or equivalent); or completion of Australian Year 12; or a qualification undertaken in Australia at Certificate IV or higher and completed within the past 5 years; or university studies in Australia of at least 2 years duration. TOEFL iBT - 46-59; PTE Academic - 42-49; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) - 47-51, OET - Pass. Age/other requirements: You must be 18 years or over at the time of course commencement.
