专业简介

Intended for education or therapy professionals to enhance their experience and understandings of the specific skills required to communicate with, teach, support and include individuals with complex communication needs. This may involve professionals working in a regular classroom, special education facility or elsewhere in the wider community. Including both theoretical and practical exploration of teaching strategies which improve learning outcomes for students with complex communication needs, the course has a particular focus on the role and skills of the communication partner and on designing and delivering successful literacy, language and communication instruction to students of diverse abilities with complex communication needs. This will enable professionals working in regular classrooms, education support facilities or elsewhere within the community to create effective learning programmes which are communication accessible for all. 入学要求

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have completed a Bachelor degree; or Equivalent prior learning including at least five years relevant professional experience. English Language Requirements accepted: Academic IELTS: An overall band score of 6.5, with no individual band less than 6.0; TOEFL: Minimum score of 573, including Test of Written English of 5 or better; TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 84, with no individual score less than 17; PTE Academic 58, with no score less than 50 for postgraduate standard entry courses; University of Cambridge [Cambridge English: Advanced]: Pre-2015: A score between 58 - 66 with no less than 'Borderline' in any element of the test. Post-2015: An overall score of 176, with no individual band less than 169. 国际学生入学条件 All applicants are required to have a four year teaching qualification or undergraduate qualification in a relevant field of therapy, e.g. speech pathology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology, social work, or similar.
