Do you love planning and organising events? Event management is an exciting career if you’re organised, can problem solve, think on your feet, and can bring people together in new ways. Learn these essential skills and more to effectively organise and manage events and build richer experiences of connection. Programme overview Our lives often revolve around events, from music festivals, expos, food fairs, school functions, corporate function, conferences, the list just goes on! Events such as these and the management of events is about engaging people, building relationships and networks, and making an impact in a wide range of contexts whether it be in communications, business environments, cultural and community. In this major of the Bachelor of Communication, you will gain an in-depth understanding about successful event management from budget, sponsorship, feasibility, marketing and planning to the “how to” of producing a real event. This programme offers the right mix of practice and theory, and the flexibility to learn more about other areas you may be highly interested in such as Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Professional News Writing, just to name a few. With an eye on the future, you’ll begin your career with a portfolio of work and industry experience you’ll gain in your final year internship within the programme. 为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants will need the following: A recognised degree, a professional qualification in a relevant discipline or the ability to demonstrate competencies equivalent to the above; a minimum of 8 credits at NCEA Level 2 in English (4 in reading, 4 in writing). English Language Requirements: NCEA Level 3 and New Zealand University entrance; NZCEL (Academic) (Level 5); IELTS score of 6.5 with a min band score of 6 (reading and writing) and 5.5 (speaking and listening); TOEFL (pBT) Paper-based test score of 550 (essay 5 TWE); TOEFL (iBT) Internet-based test score of 60 (writing 18); FCE or FCE for schools, or CAE, or CPE with a score of 169. No less than 162 in each skill. OET at Grade C in all sub-tests; Pearson Test of English (PToE) Academic with a score of 58 with score of at least 50 (reading & writing) and 42 (speaking and listening). 国际学生入学条件 For this programme, you will need the following: Entry requirements vary from country to country.
