Our Diploma of Business Management specialising in Travel and Tourism covers all the practical skills you need to land a great job in the travel and tourism industry. You’ll learn about the current and future direction of tourism, the laws that affect the industry, the A to Z of codes used in airline reservations, ticketing, eco and specialist tourism. You’ll get to visit a local travel consultant or a major tour operator and learn about how a travel agency operates. You will gain a broad overview of how to work successfully in business or even set up a business of your own, through the skills gained from entrepreneurship projects. During the final trimester, you’ll take part in our internship placement program. It is an excellent opportunity to build your professional network whilst applying all of the practical knowledge you’ve gained throughout the course. There is a focus on action and experiential learning including interactive presentations, industry specific case studies, team work, individual assignments and real world projects which stimulate innovative thinking. The course will encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and explore new ideas thereby helping you to develop resilience, adaptability and self-confidence. Upon successful completion of the Diploma of Business Management, you will have the opportunity to articulate into the second year of the Bachelor of Business to further develop your skills.
