Get started in a career that will see you design and develop electronic products and processes that make a difference. You’ll develop skills to design, validate and evaluate electronics and communication equipment as well as systems. You’ll also be able to manage risk, estimate and manage projects, and provide technical and sales advice. You will learn skills in programmable gate array technologies, circuit simulation, printed circuit board design, digital and analogue systems and applications, amplifiers, analogue integrated circuit design, communication systems, mobile phones, global positioning systems (GPS), microwave links, embedded controllers, AM/FM, computer programming, engineering software and project management, and computational solutions. Career As a graduate of this program your skills will be applicable to a wide range of business, manufacturing and operational occupations where application of knowledge in electronics and communications underpins the business operations. You may work in a range of industries/fields such as manufacturing, telecommunications, radio communications, electronics equipment and services, security systems, scientific instruments and sales, and administering and upgrading electronics, communications equipment and facilities in small, medium or large-sized enterprises. Pathway options You can gain entry to the Advanced Diploma of Electronics and Communications Engineering from RMIT Foundation Studies or a range of vocational study programs. Further study When you successfully complete the Advanced Diploma of Electronics and Communications Engineering and achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0, you are guaranteed entry in the following programs and may receive three semesters of advanced standing (equivalent to 144 credit points): Bachelor of Engineering (Telecommunications Engineering) (Honours) Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) (Honours) Alternatively, you may be eligible for entry into other RMIT undergraduate programs.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have obtained a score of 25 - 31. Applicants must have completed a recognized equivalent Year 12 studies program to the required standard. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 (no band less than 6.0); TOEFL (Paper Based Test) score of 580 (TWE* 4.5); TOEFL (Internet Based Test – iBT): Overall score 92 with minimum of 20 in all sections; Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE (A)): 58 (no communication band less than 50); Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE): 176 with no less than 169 in any component. 国际学生入学条件 You must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 (or equivalent senior secondary school qualification) with a minimum 50% average.
