This qualification reflects the roles of cabin crew personnel performing normal and emergency cabin crew duties in support of commercial or Defence aviation operations.
Cabin crew duties include applying technical and non-technical aviation skills and knowledge to cabin service and cargo operations.
This qualification forms some of the requirements for certification as Cabin Crew by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) as described in Civil Aviation Order 20.11 Emergency and life saving equipment and passenger control in emergencies.
Civil and military cabin crew seeking certification should check these requirements with CASA.
Course Structure
To receive the Certificate III in Aviation (Cabin Crew) students must complete all core units and, if available, a range of additional units.

Manage and carry out pre- and post-flight cabin checks
Apply aircraft safety procedures
Apply aviation work health and safety procedures
Maintain the safety of people and aircraft
Respond to abnormal and emergency situations in an aircraft
Work effectively in the aviation industry
Manage disruptive behaviour and unlawful interference with aviation
Apply and monitor aviation workplace security procedures
Maintain security awareness and vigilance in an aviation workplace
Organise personal work priorities and development
Prepare workplace documents
Operate firefighting equipment
Undertake emergency response action to a security threat

Provide first aid in an aviation environment

Manage human factors in aviation operations
Implement regulations and policies during aviation safety and service operations

国际学生入学条件
Students must have completed Year 12 or equivalent. They must be 18 years is the minimum age to enter employment with an airline due to the service of alcohol. A first aid certification, a Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate and other regulatory requirements are essential for employment.
Academic IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL (iBT) 46 or a TAFE NSW Certificate III in Advanced English for Further Study at TAFE NSW or equivalent.
