This course is for people who want to work as a beautician in a retail or beauty salon environment. You will learn how to provide a number of beauty services which may include make-up, waxing, nail technology, lash and brow services, epilation and demonstrating and selling retail skin care and other cosmetic products. In this course you can study additional beauty treatments to develop skills to own/manage your own salon. You must complete all core units plus elective units to receive the qualification. You may be able to do single units to suit your particular needs. People considering enrolment in beauty courses need to be aware that skills development will require students to practice on each other and those industry dress codes will apply. This will necessarily involve touch but will always be practiced and applied in accordance with industry codes of practice and ethics.
