The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care will teach you how to care for children, nurture their development and make sure their environment is safe and supportive. If you're looking to work as a nanny or childcare assistant, this qualification is ideal. This qualification is for people who want to work as an early childhood educator in a centre-based service and family day care. This is the nationally regulated entry level qualification for working in early childhood education and care. You will learn how to use a national learning framework, regulations and quality standards to support the education and care of children from birth to school age. You will be able to facilitate play and ensure children's health and safety while supporting their learning and wellbeing. This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings who work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. They support the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support children's wellbeing, learning and development. Depending on the setting, educators may work under direct supervision or autonomously. Course Structure To receive the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care students must complete all core units and, if available, a range of additional units.
