Course Description This course provides the knowledge and skills to provide an advanced level of chairside support to the operator. It includes contributing to the quality of dental care through communication skills, providing an oral health education program and implementing infection control procedures. This qualification allows the dental assistant to select electives to address specific workplace needs in line with jurisdictional Dental Acts and Regulations. Course Structure To receive the Certificate IV in Dental Assisting students must complete all core units and, if available, a range of additional units.
