Join a growing industry The world needs healthy and safe food products and ingredients manufactured on a large scale. New food products pose challenging and exciting process design problems that you can help solve. What is it Like? Every day new food products and food ingredients are developed. The large-scale food manufacturing processes needed to bring these safely and sustainably to the world are designed and managed by food engineers. When you graduate from the Massey University food process engineering major, you will have the skills and knowledge to work in and to eventually lead this exciting global industry. The world’s growing population needs healthy and safe foods and New Zealand is an important link in the global food supply chain to meet this demand. International recognition The United States-based Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) approves the Massey’s Bachelor of Food Technology with Honours programme and its majors. The Food Process Engineering major is accredited by Engineering NZ as a professional engineering degree under the Washington Accord, an international agreement (equivalent to a four year engineering degree). Massey University is ranked as one of the top 50 universities worldwide for Food Science & Technology (out of 300), according to Shanghai Ranking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects. Global opportunities As a graduate of Massey’s Bachelor of Food Technology with Honours (Food Process Engineering), you could go on to manage the development and implementation or installation of new processing lines and factories producing products meeting the customer requirements in a safe, economical and sustainable way. You could also turn your great ideas into new innovative solutions that can be developed into a business. The possibilities are endless and your skills can be applied all over the world. Accreditation This major has Engineering NZ accreditation. A flexible start Available in Auckland for Year 1 and 2. Also Semester 1, Year 3. Subsequent semesters available in Palmerston North only. Careers Career options after completing the Food Product Technology major include: Food Process Engineer Process Engineer Design Engineer Production Supervisor This course is also offered by the Institute of Food Science and Technology.

入学要求

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have completed New Zealand secondary school qualification or other equivalent overseas qualification. English Language Requirements: IELTS score of 5.0 (no band less than 5.0). TOEFL iBT score of 61 overall (min 17 in Reading & Writing). PTE Academic score of 36 Overall (min 36 in communicative skills). Cambridge English score of 155. 国际学生入学条件 Students must have successful completion of a qualification equivalent to the New Zealand Year 13 - NCEA Level 3 University Entrance. International students need to check the equivalency of their secondary school qualification by reviewing the Academic Admission Requirements by Country. Students from a country where English is not the first language, must obtain a minimum English Language competency level. IELTS score of 6.0 (no band less than 5.5) TOEFL iBT score of 80 overall (min 19 in Writing) PTE Academic score of 50 Overall (min 42 in communicative skills) Cambridge English score of 169 overall and all bands 162 or better
