Academy students will complete the Diploma of Sport Development as part of a program designed specifically for emerging high-performance athletes and coaches with training covering basketball-industry specific skills and knowledge. These include career and professional development, athlete wellbeing and performance, advanced physical conditioning, high-performance coaching, leadership and team management, talent identification and selection, technology in sport, and sport safety. This nationally accredited, industry-recognised qualification provides a range of pathways to a sporting industry career, and/or higher education. So if you're passionate about playing basketball - and have the talent and drive to take that passion further - the Chisholm Sports Academy is for you. Advanced sport performance analysis forms a key feature of the basketball program. Students use the latest technology to observe, analyse and receive instruction in skills, as well as learn to tag, edit and review game footage for player and team tactical analysis and scouting. Academic components of the diploma are delivered from our Cranbourne campus, a thriving education and training centre featuring modern classrooms, computer labs, auditorium, library, student lounge and cafeteria. High performance on-court coaching is conducted at the Casey Regional Basketball and Netball Centre, where an $18 million upgrade is due for completion early 2017.
